If you enjoyed Netflix's live-action adaptation of "One Piece," get ready for more! Netflix is planning another anime adaptation, this time bringing the popular "Solo Leveling" to life.
"Solo Leveling" started as a South Korean web novel that became a popular anime series in Japan. Now, it's returning to its home country as a live-action series. Netflix hopes that "Solo Leveling" will be another huge success, just like "One Piece."
In the world of "Solo Leveling," special people called Hunters travel through gates into a dangerous parallel dimension. There, they fight all kinds of monsters. The main character, Jin-woo, starts out as the weakest Hunter. But, he soon discovers a way to get stronger and level up on his own.
The anime version of "Solo Leveling" has been streaming on Crunchyroll for two seasons. The live-action series will be made by Lee Hae-jun, Kim Byung-seo, Kakao Entertainment, and Sanai Pictures.
Netflix announced that Byeon Woo-seok, a Korean model and actor, will play the main role of Jin-woo. He was also in the Netflix movie "20th Century Girl."
There's no release date yet, but it's not expected to be available before the end of 2026.
